“Having beautiful waterfall engagement photos was our photographer’s brilliant idea! It was also a great opportunity for Foti to get to know my hometown and see the beauty of this wonderful place. We had an amazing time and our photographer was able to capture “the moment” with excellence and we cannot thank him for for this!”, sweet Vanessa share with us.
“During our free time, although we are very busy, we like to go to the movies and go out for coffee. We also love to try eat out and try new cuisines. Whenever we can, we travel to new places”.
“We met through mutual friends during summer vacation. Having gone to visit my friends during the holidays, Fotis just happended to be with them … Although I only stayed there one day, we both tried to meet again… which happened quickly! “
“You could say that the wedding proposal was unique! For me it was truly the best I could ever imagine. I remember that we were on vacation when I came across a magazine that advertised various places one must visit, and I noticed the restaurant Sunset on the island of Hydra that is known for its breathtaking view. Who would have thought that same restaurant would be the place where Fotis was going to ask me to marry him! Fotis had planned every single detail in such a way that everything unfolded naturally. It sounds crazy but in my purse I was carrying the engagement ring without knowing! It seemed like a regular night out… until the moment dessert was served and I noticed that with the dessert there was also a lifetime promise…”
When we asked Vanessa when did she realize that Fotis was the man of her dreams, she told us: “Is think the way we first met shows that we were both on the same page. What made us truly feel that our love was unique was the long periods of time that we spent apart in different countries. However, despite the distance that separated us, we felt close to each other…I do not know if it was the endless hours talking on skype or thinking about each other constantly … What I do know is that what we felt gave us strengh to continue”.
We asked Fotis to use five words to describe Vanessa… and he told us: “spontaneous, dreamy, perfectionist, sensitive and true!”
“We have made several trips and every one was special for a different reason. Each was a small adventure and have left us with beautiful memories. But one of our trips was unique! Our trip to Hydra, the Greek island that Fotis asked me to marry him. Surely it is a trip I will never forget!”
Believe it or not but decing how to seat your wedding guests at the reception can be very stressful and definitely not an easy task to tackle! A seating plan is crutial and extremely important for basically two reasons: you want your guests to be happy at your wedding and pallning ahead and deciding how to seat your guests can save you from alot of uncomfortable moments during your wedding reception. We went ahead and asked wedding planner Anna Sourbati from THE EVENT COMPANY and she gave us useful tips for guest seating!
“Either it is a formal dinner or a wedding reception, having planned ahead for a proper seating arrangement is something that can completely change the energy of the space”, Anna shared with us”.
“In order to avoid any type of confusion it is extremely important to create a guest seating chart and give your wedding guests escort cards that will guide them in correct direction and in a calm manner”.
“Avoid seating your friends at the same table! Many couples have told me that “matched” perfectly friends that have never met before!”
“When you are deciding on how to seat your wedding guests try to make each and every guest feel comfortable. Try to create groups of new and familiar people with common interests”.
“If you are not sure on how to seat your wedding guests, or if can’t decide on the seating arrangement of certain guests… don’t hesitate to ask for help from your family and friends. A new perspective can always be helpful!”
“Do not leave the seating arrangement plan on how to seat the guests for the last minute! No doubt there are going to be last minute changes… However try your hardest to have the majority of the seating plan completed at least one week before the wedding!”
Thank you Anna for your valuable advice!
