The Wedding Style
I cannot emphasize enough how important I think it is lavish your wedding with your personalities. Personally I am a real outdoor girl with deep love of nature and the environment so with every decision I made, I would bare this in mind. Lucky for me my partner is similar in that he also loves the outdoors and is especially fond of the sea, we also share a passion for travel so it would only be right that we reflect this in our wedding somehow. I know we wouldn’t go abroad to get married as it is to important to us that all our family and friends could be there, so we would more than likely hold a summer ceremony on the coast somewhere in the UK, with a plan B if needed (You can never trust the British weather!)
The color palette
We both love bright colors, especially blues and greens so I can imagine this would feature quite heavily, although I wouldn’t allow myself to be too strict with a color palette, I am more of mismatch type of girl!
The wedding dress & shoes
To be honest I am not one of those girls that has dreamt up my dream wedding dress but as I write for a wedding blog for a living, it would be difficult to not have some idea of how I would like my wedding dress to look? I wouldn’t mind having a colored wedding dress but I am not sure if I would go big or more chic? I would definitely need to try them on! If we were to get married on a beach I probably wouldn’t worry about shoes to much?
Neither me or my partner are huge on cake but I would love to have a massive cake made of cheese as we both love that!
These would have to be handmade, along with much of our décor. I am a huge DIY fan and just love the thought of guests going home with gifts that that have been made with love and care! I would also really like to include something that would be good for the environment, like some flower or bird seed.
What would/will you do to entertain your wedding guests
We both share a similar taste in music so I know that we would want a live band to entertain our guests in the evening. I like the idea of having a few bands as we are both really into the festival scene.
This is probably the part that we have dreamed of the most as we would both love to travel the world and that is exactly what I would want to do for our honeymoon. A girl can dream right!
Overflowing with the most enchanting romantic details, the destination wedding in Greece that Stella from Stella & Moscha shared with us, had me at hello with the stunningly beautiful Elie Saab tulle wedding dress the lovely bride was wearing for her romantic destination wedding in Greece. The ethereal Elie Saab wedding dress featured a sheer lace bodice and a romantic embroidered tulle skirt with floral appliqués. I know this Greek island wedding sounds already so breathtaking and the images captured beautifully by photographer Anna Roussos are just that and so much more…
From Stella & Moscha: “Julia and Igor are both from Moldova. Due to Igor’s work they travel a lot and spend their time between Moldova and China. He is a big fan of Porsche so the couple drove with their own Porsche from Moldova all the way to Greece. Igor wanted them to drive to the church ceremony in their own car. The family dog is also very important for Julia so he joined the ride as well in order to be with them on their most special day”.
“When Igor proposed they started thinking about where to host their wedding. They didn’t want to have a one-of-the-same weddings back home so decided to think ‘outside the box’ and come up with different ideas. Julia dreamed about a summer wedding by the sea and she fell in love with Greek islands nature. Once they started looking into various islands they both decided Kea was the island for them. The contrast of Aegean blue sea and mountainous landscape was a great combination for their unique celebration”.
“The best moment of the day: when Julia –escorted by her father – walked up to Agia Irini Chapel and paused for a few seconds at the gate applauding and really enjoying the moment. She was so thrilled and over-joyed to see Igor waiting for her outside the church (as per Greek custom) holding her bouquet”.
“It was a best friends and family affair so they decided to book a private villa for their entire stay and to celebrate the wedding. Friends of the couple were DJ’s for the evening and needless to say they all ended in the pool by the end of the night”.
