Grace and Ryan’s fall wedding in Evia, captured with pure perfection by wedding photographer George Pahountis had the perfect light and the gold and orange hued details were everything you could dream of an autumn wedding!
Wanting to create a unique experience for all, this lovely couple tied the knot on the breathtakingly beautiful setting of Villa Delenia in front of the “window of the Aegean”.
As their wedding planner Stella from Stella & Moscha describes: “Grace and Ryan had a clear vision from the start about the style of the wedding; it had to look & feel natural, laid back and wanted to involve family and friends with decorations. We worked a lot together in getting the right colors for the fall wedding and bringing everything together in this Villa which is literally on a cliff with very little or any services available around it. Our team decorated the area using mini pumpkins, locally sourced terracotta vases and flowers that were available at a nearby flower shop”.
Stella continues: “The couple wanted to introduce their love for ‘meze’ (Greek Tapas) and seafood to friends & family and everyone just raved about the wonderful dishes that kept being served. Signature cocktails were served using local herbs and mastiha liquer and the groom’s friends were in charge of entertainment with their own guitars. Guests had travelled from Canada, U.S.A and Taiwan and described this fall wedding as a “trip of a lifetime”.

Maria and Harris wanted their rustic wedding in Cyprus to take place in the “Old City” Of Nicosia and as Maria told us: “We are both Cyprians and the old part of the city of Nicosia has a special place in our hearts. We planned the wedding ceremony, the cocktail party and the reception to take place there in the picturesque Old City, surrounded by the ancient Venetian Walls”.
“We met on a Saturday morning at a cafeteria and coincidently that night we went to the same night club. He approached me through a mutual friend and that was it… 4 years later we got married… It was love at first sight…”, Maria shared with us.
“In Cyprus it is custom for family and friends to help the bride get ready on her wedding day. I was deeply touched throughout the entire time…”
“If I had to choose one moment as my most favorite it would definitely be the one when I saw my husband waiting for me at the church and my parents were about to give me away. I will never forget that moment- Profoundly emotional!”
“The mermaid style wedding gown I wore at the ceremony and during the first hours of the reception was designed by Efi Papaioannou and made from silk organza. I remember the second time I visited her atelier and I told her I wanted to wear a slim line dress (even though I was sure that a flowy dress would look better on me)… she gave it to me and I didn’t not have to try another dress on… it was the one!”
This rustic wedding in Cyprus had gorgeous details and as Maria’s favorites were: “the fresh flowers, the candy table, the chandeliers, the baby breath bouquets that were hanging upside down and all our pictures that were taken during special times we had together as a couple. The pictures were like a small exhibition!”.
The beautiful wedding in Cyprus featured an elegant decor that easily fit the description “when romance meets rustic”. As Maria tells us in her own words:”The outdoor reception took place in gardens of Pili Ammochostou and the setting had its own style. We wanted everything to be chic and minimal”.
“It would be very difficult to plan our wedding in the location we selected without the help of Alexia Markidou and Elena Chatzinikolaou from Eventi Planners. Their help was significant since they had to organize an outdoor wedding in a setting that did not have any equipment, furniture etc. The secret of the success in this event was the planning part!”, the bride mentioned.
When it was time for the newlyweds to dance their first dance as husband and wife together, Maria had a little suprise for Harris! Their first wedding dance song was recorded in a studio and Maria sang the song that was dedicated to her husband!
“The lace wedding dress that I wore at the reception party was created by designers Natargeorgiou. I wanted to wear at the reception a dress that was a little more flowy and designers Dimos Natar and Andreas Georgiou were the perfect choice! In 3 days (I decided 3 days before the wedding that I wanted to wear a second dress during the reception!), they created this masterpiece for me!”.
Maria’s advice: “The bride should be calm and enjoy every single minute… she should keep in mind that this is the day she is marrying the man of her dreams and nothing should spoil it… I did not stress out at all… and I would do it all over again!!!”.
